The Counties Manukau 15s Stingrays, which has now changed to the 16s Stingrays, compete in the National Youth Tournament in Rotorua annually.

The National Youth Tournament is a five-day event where the most talented players from across New Zealand compete for the honours of a National title. The 15s Stingrays have made multiple Grand Final appearances and won the National title 2016.

The National Youth tournament has been a platform for many 15s Stingrays to enter into the NZRL 16s Merit Squad, which gains them an invitation to the Kiwis Performance Camps, where they trial for the New Zealand 16s Residents.

The 15s Stingrays being the first point of Representative Rugby League for many players, we aim to give each Stingray a professional and enjoyable experience. This includes educating players about welfare, the importance of career paths, and their Rugby League goals.

In 2021, the 15s National Youth Tournament Competition changed to 16s.
